Chapter 52: Deceit

*We now rejoin Hawkslayer, locked in epic battle with Akki*

Hawkslayer: *running* AHHHHHHHHHHH- *dodges Magic Missile* -H!

*Errr, running like a scared little girl*

Akki: WhY aRe YoU rUnNiNg? I tHoUgHt YoU wErE gOnNa KiLl Me. *fires between three and three-and-a-half Acid Bolts at Hawkslayer
(we're still bad at estimating >=/)*

Hawkslayer: *Turns around and barely dodges the Acid Bolts.* I plan to... *Shoots several arrows at Akki*

Akki: *Swats the arrows out of the air with her bare hands* tHe SaMe TrIcK wOn'T wOrK oN mE... tWiCe? *Notices Hawkslayer is nowhere to be found* dAmMiT, wHeRe DiD hE gO?

Hawkslayer: *Is behind Akki* Hi.

Akki: *turns around* wHaT tHe...

Hawkslayer: *claps his hand together* SPONTANEOUS COMBUSTION! *explodes in a ball of fire*

Akki: *is unharmed* >_> I tHiNk YoU'Re SuPpOsEd To AiM iT aT SoMeThIng...

Hawkslayer: *slightly blackened* *cough* I think you're right... *is slammed into the wall and held there by Akki* ugh... *looks at Akki's face* You know, your eyes are just as pretty as they are when they're green.

Akki: ThAnK YoU, bUt fLaTtErY wOn'T sToP mE fRoM kIlLiNg YoU

Hawkslayer: I know, but it'll distract you for a few seconds, allowing me to get away from you... *is now standing behind Akki.*

Akki: dAmMiT yOu... *points her index finger at Hawkslayer*

Hawkslayer: Eh?

Akki: *a small, purple ball begins forming at the tip of her finger* ChAoS bOlT. *a purple beam fires from her finger*

Hawkslayer: *dodges the beam* What was that? *panting*

Akki: yOuR dEaTh *begins to charge a second shot* tHiS tImE, i WoN't Mi- HuH? *Notices Hawkslayer panting heavily and clutching his chest and stops charging* yOu HaVe GoT tO bE kIdDiNg Me! *eyes return to green and the purple aura disappears* All that... just for you to have a heart attack!?

Hawkslayer: Sorry *gasp* to disappoint *gasp* you...

Dayn: *distant* Akki, Hawkslayer, where are you?!

Akki: Dammit... *turns to Hawkslayer*

Hawkslayer: Mark my words... Aki' Nanm... they will... destroy you... maybe not today, maybe... not tomorrow, but one day, they will... kill... you...*closes his eyes*

Akki: *goes over to Hawkslayer and checks him with the stethoscope, confirming his death* Fu-

Censorshipman: NOOO-*ACK*

Akki: *holding him by the neck* Go... Away *teleports him to an unknown location* Now, what to do... *ponders and thinks. thinks and ponders* ... I got it!

*sometime later*

Jerrica: Hawkslayer, Ak- *sees Akki standing over Hawkslayer's corpse, casting spells at him*

Akki: *looks at Jerrica* Hu- *is hit by Jerrica*

Jerrica: What did you do to him!? TRAVIS, DAYN, I FOUND THEM!

Akki: But... I didn't... (Damn, she's fast... and strong...)

*Travis and Dayn appear out of nowhere*

Jerrica: She... killed him...

Akki: I didn't! He had a heart attack!

Jerrica: *checks Hawkslayer* It seems he did die from a heart attack, but how do we know those spel-

Travis: She was casting reduce pain and various healing spells.

Dayn: How on earth did you know that?

Travis: I can sense a spell that had been cast. For example, I can tell you that in this area, several frost bolts, three to three-and-a-half acid bolts, and... some spell... with a HUGE concentration of chaos and corruption were cast here.

Akki: Wow. (I though I got rid of any trace of magic here... how can he sense it? Is he that powerful?)

Dayn: Curious... *Glares at Akki*

Travis: The spells were cast a long time ago though... Akki couldn't have done it...

Jerrica: Sorry... *helps Akki up*

Akki: It's okay. It did look a bit suspicious... ^_^;

Travis: Why were you out here with him anyway?

Akki: I was just about to goto sleep when he got up and... and... *tears start welling up in her eyes*

Jerrica: *hugs Akki* He probably didn't want to worry us.

Travis: That explains where Dayn's Spellbooks, Jerrica's rings, and this God-forsaken amulet came from... *tries taking the strange amulet off.* I don't know what it is and a scroll of great identify doesn't shed any light on it... I've tried uncursing it, Dayn has tried... Jerrica tried to rip it off... >_>

Jerrica: Hehe =3

Dayn: Umm, aren't we forgetting something?

Jerrica: Yeah... *looks at Hawkslayer's corpse* I guess... we should bury him...

Travis: Yeah...


And so, our heroes buried Hawkslayer and held a small funeral for him. After getting some rest and setting off once again, what dangers and threats will Akki pose? And last, but not least, what on earth happened to Censorshipman?

Censorshipman: Where am I? >_> <_< >_> *is in a small room with no doors.*

Jackals: *appear out of nowhere* What's love got to do, got to do with it...

Censorshipman: Fuck.
